Thwarted

So, last night, I had just put little cupfuls of this in the refrigerator, and was squeezing the cooled lemons for this, when our power went out.  Out out.  Around 7:30 p.m.

Sometime between Midnight and 1:30 a.m., the power for the library across the side street, the dentist's office in front of our complex, and the adult care facility nextdoor came back on.

When I called the power company this morning, at 7:30 a.m., the automated message said there were no outage reports for my area.  Meaning someone there didn't do as thorough a job of investigating the report that returned power to the library, et al, as they should have.

Eh-hem.  GRRRRRRRRRRR.

So I'm not really feeling the love this Thursday, sadly.  In theory, we should have power back by 4 p.m. today.  Which means since the refrigerator hasn't been opened, all it's contents should not be lost.  I hope.

Seriously, power company people, get with it.  Do you not understand that I have a pie to bake?

I hope your food is ok.. we had a power outage once for like 2 days and we ended up throwing out all our icecream and a whole bunch of stuff!
